Types of Academic Papers Published in Journal

The following types of academic papers may be published in Constitutional Law Review:

Academic Articles – a purpose of an academic article may be to present new findings, discuss and review existing literature or papers, etc. Therefore, the structure and format of the academic article should correspond to the purpose of that article. An academic article shall be in compliance to the Academic Style Guidelines approved by Ilia State University

Academic Report – a purpose of an academic report is to identify and critically analyze an issue in a relevant field of research and strive to find solutions for the issue, for which relevant research needs to be carried out. The researcher provides detailed explanation of the research methods and findings in the report. The researcher is obliged to provide the reasoning to support the validity of the solution, assess the results of the research and provide conclusions based on that research. An academic report shall be in compliance to the Academic Style Guidelines approved by Ilia State University

Academic Review – a purpose of an academic review is to provide content of a book and/or an article along with its critical assessment. Such a review should be shorter compared to other academic papers. An academic review shall be in compliance to the Academic Style Guidelines approved by Ilia State University

 

Acceptance of Papers for Publication in Journal

For each issue of the Journal, academic papers will be accepted:

Through an open call;

Through negotiations between individual authors and the Editor-in-Chief and/or member of the Editorial Board and/or Advisory Board of the Journal;

Through obtaining copyright over the academic papers published in another academic journal.

 

Open Call

For the upcoming issue of the Journal, the Editorial Board announces an open call upon the proposal of the Editor-in-Chief.

Open call will be announced at the web-page and Facebook page of the Journal. An information on the open call may also be published at different online platforms and/or being disseminated by other mediums.

An announcement for the open call should include the following information:

 

Submission of Academic Papers through Individual Negotiations

An Editor-in-Chief or a member of the Editorial Board and/or the Advisory Board of the Journal are entitled to hold negotiations with individual authors for the purpose of publication of an academic papers in upcoming issue of the Journal.

An academic paper submitted for publication thought individual negotiations, shall meet the requirements of the Statute and Editorial Policy Document of the Journal.

 

Reprinting Academic Papers Published in Academic Journals

Academic papers published in other academic journals are reprinted and copyright is obtained upon the decision of the Editorial Board and with the recommendation of the Editor-in-Chief.

 

Selection and Review of Academic Papers

Academic papers shall meet the requirements approved by Ilia State University

Academic papers are reviewed by pre-selected reviewers. A database of the reviewers is approved by the Editorial Board of the Journal, upon the recommendation of the Editor-in-Chief. Individuals invited in the capacity of reviewers shall be local and international experts with Ph. D. in Law and/or should have relevant experience and qualifications.

Academic articles to be published in the Journal will be subject to international peer review.

 

Plagiarism

The Editor-in-Chief examines an academic paper on plagiarism before submitting it to the reviewer. The checking process shall be conducted through Turnitin.

 

Standards for Citation

Authors shall apply the rules of citation, indicating sources and the requirement for the verification provided by the Academic Style Guidelines of Ilia State University

 

Copyright

By publishing an academic paper in Journal, the author delivers the Journal the copyright in full extent, which includes the right of the Journal to publish the paper in printed and electronic forms. The author of the academic paper which has been published in the Journal is obliged to notify the Journal on the use of the same paper in edited form and/or reproduction thereof.

The author of the academic paper maintains non-pecuniary copyright.

 

Ethics and Response to Violations

The Journal follows the ethical standards and respects the academic freedom/the right to freedom of expression of the author. In case of conflict of interests between the author and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, the final decision shall be made by the Editorial Board. The Editor-in-Chief does not participate in the meeting of the Editorial Board on the case of conflict of interests between the author and the Editor-in-Chief.

The authors are required to fully comply with the requirements of the Constitution and the legislation of Georgia, as well as to fulfill the requirements of the Statute of the Journal, Editorial Policy Document, and academic writing standards approved by Ilia State University.

In case there is a mistake, inaccuracy and/or other kind of violation in the paper published in the Journal, the author may address the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal via e-mail.

No later than 14 days after receiving the notice about violation, the Editor-in-Chief addresses the Editorial Board of the Journal with the request to respond to the presented notice. The Editorial Board examines the notice and delivers a final decision no later than 1 month after receiving such request. The applicant will be notified in writing about the decision on the review of the notice no later than 7 days after final decision of the Editorial Board.

Any dispute between the author and the Journal shall be settled in accordance with the Georgian legislation.
